In order to deliver your services, it is necessary for Escapades Greece to collect and process your personal information. Escapades Greece always informs its customers in a clear manner for which purpose the personal data are collected. 2. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Escapades Greece collects and processes the personal information which is necessary for us to facilitate your travel arrangements and bookings and to arrange travel related services and/or products on your behalf.
Escapades Greece therefore typically processes the following types of personal information about you:

nationality, date of birth, place of birth, gender,
travel document’ s information (e.g. the type and number of your passport or ID, the issue and expiry date, the country of issue etc);
information about other passengers in your booking such as first name, name, nationality and age;

your communication with us (for example your emails, letters, calls or your messages on our online chat service);
your messages on social media;
your feedback;
travel and accommodation preferences.

3. HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Escapades Greece usually collects your personal information directly from you throughout our liaison.
Generally, this collection will occur when you:

Connect with us on social media.
Purchase or make enquiries about travel arrangements or other products and services;
Enter competitions or register for promotions;
Subscribe to receive marketing from Escapades Greece (e.g. e-newsletters);

Provide information, or use our services, on social media.
Unless you choose to do so under a pseudonym or anonymously, Escapades Greece may also collect your personal information (except sensitive information) when you complete surveys or provide us with feedback.
In some circumstances, it may be necessary for us to collect personal information about you from a third party, especially in cases when another person makes a travel booking on your behalf which includes travel arrangements to be used by you (i.e. a group booking made for you by your friend). When this occurs, Escapades Greece relies on the authority of the person making the travel booking as the Lead passenger to act on behalf of any other passenger on the booking. The Lead Passenger agrees to have obtained the consent of the other person for Escapades Greece to collect, use and disclose the other person’s personal information in accordance with this Private Policy.
You should let us know immediately if you become aware that your personal information has been provided to us by another person without your consent or if you did not obtain consent before providing another person’s personal information to us.
Escapades Greece strives to maintain the accuracy of your personal information, however, you can assist us with this considerably by promptly contacting us if there are any changes to your personal information or if you become aware that we have inaccurate personal information relating to you. Escapades Greece will not be responsible for any losses arising from any inaccurate, inauthentic, deficient or incomplete personal information that you, or a person acting on your behalf, provide to us.
4. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Escapades Greece uses your personal data for the following purposes:
to manage your travel bookings and to deliver its services to you;
to communicate with you;
to issue tickets of any kind and complete your reservations (e.g. hotels, restaurants, transport). Your personal information may also be used to change your bookings when you request for such changes;
to let you know if there are any changes to the trips or if there are other circumstances that may affect your travel plans, such as strikes, bad weather etc;
to contact you by email and/or SMS for administrative or operational reasons, for example to send you a confirmation of your bookings and payments, to inform you about your travel schedule or to advise you about possible delays and changes to your trip. If you use our mobile app, Escapades Greece can also send you app notifications for these purposes. Note that the purpose of this communication is not marketing, and therefore you will continue to receive this information even if you opt-out of receiving marketing communication;
to request for your feedback by email and/or SMS, since your opinion is of great importance to us;
to adapt our services to your needs and preferences and to offer you a personalized customer experience;
the business purposes for which we will use your information include accounting, invoicing and audit, credit card or other payment card verification, fraud screening, security, legal purposes, statistical and marketing analysis, system testing, maintenance and development.
5. WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING?
The collection, maintenance and process of your personal data is necessary for the preparation of the provision of our services and/or for the fulfillment of all our obligations arising from the Tour Contract concluded between us.
6. IS my PERSONAL INFORMATION DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES?
Escapades Greece will in no circumstances sell, rent or trade your personal information, unless it is absolutely necessary for the provision of our services. Therefore, your personal information may be disclosed to the following types of third parties:

a person making your travel booking on your behalf (i.e. a family member, friend or work colleague);

customs and immigration to comply with our legal obligations and any applicable customs/immigration requirements relating to your travel;
government agencies and public authorities to comply with a valid and authorized request, including a court order or other valid legal process;
various regulatory bodies and law enforcement officials and agencies, including to protect against fraud and for related security purposes; and
enforcement agencies where we suspect that unlawful activity has been or may be engaged in and the personal information is a necessary part of our investigation or reporting of the matter.
Other than the above, Escapades Greece will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to lessen or prevent a threat to life, health or safety of an individual or to public health or safety or for certain action to be undertaken by an enforcement body (e.g. prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution or punishment of criminal offences), or where such disclosure is authorized or required by law (including applicable privacy / data protection laws).
7. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTED?
Escapades Greece commits itself to take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against unintentional loss, destruction or damage. When you provide your personal information on our website or our mobile app, this information will be transmitted securely over the internet by the use of high-quality encryption.
8. WHICH ARE MY RIGHTS IN RELATION TO MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THE AGENT COLLECTS?
Escapades Greece always provides you in a clear and understandable way the methods in which your data are processed. However, you always retain the right of objection, access, rectification, to be forgotten and to data portability. Especially:
You have the right to request access to your own personal data.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data due to your specific situation, at any time. Escapades Greece ceases to process the personal data unless it points out overriding legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms.
At the request of the customer, personal data can be rectified. If the information Escapades Greece has about you is not correct, please have it amended as soon as possible. Escapades Greece will update the data as soon as possible.
At the request of the customer, certain data can be deleted, but always taking into account the storage period and the necessity of the data for the execution of the contract. As a result, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible on condition that there are no justified reasons to keep them up-to-date.
You have the right to request for your personal data with the aim to switch to another service provider. Escapades Greece promises to provide the personal data in a structured and readable form. When the client exercises the right of data portability, they have the right to ask that the personal data, if technically possible, are directly transported from Escapades Greece to the other service provider.

9. FOR HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Escapades Greece stores your personal data for a period of seven years from the invoice date. At the end of the retention period or on a valid request of the data subject, the personal data will be deleted, unless there are reasons of public interest to keep the personal data for a longer period.
10. IS MY PERSONAL DATA USED FOR MARKETING COMMUNICATION
You can choose whether or not you want to receive marketing communication. Escapades Greece will only send marketing communication to the customers who have given a voluntary and explicit permission to receive our newsletters. The newsletters contain information about special offers and new routes. Please note that we do not share your contact information and personal information with other companies for marketing purposes, unless we have obtained explicitly your consent to do so.
You can ask at any time to end marketing communication by sending an email to contact@escapades-greece.com with the title ‘End marketing communication’.
11. WHAT ABOUT COOKIES OR OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
In order to improve our services, to offer you relevant information and to analyze how you use our website and app, we can use technologies such as tracking software, pixels and cookies. Keep in mind that in most cases we cannot identify you on the basis of the information we collect through these technologies.
Escapades Greece uses software to monitor how the website is used in order to improve the experience of the customer. This software does not allow us to collect personal data.
In order to understand how our customers deal with the emails we send them, we use pixels, so that we can see whether the emails we send are opened or not.
We also use cookies on our website, mobile app or in our emails. Cookies are small pieces of information that your browser stores on the hard drive of your computer. They allow you to navigate on our website or app and allow us to remember certain aspects of your last search to make subsequent searches faster for you.
You can delete cookies if you wish. While certain cookies are required for viewing and navigating on our website or app, most functions are still accessible without cookies.
